Frequently asked questions
Is it for everyone?
It is a food powder, not a medicine. As with any new herb, if you are pregnant, nursing or on regular medication, check with your doctor before making it a habit.
Is it organic?
Yes — the roots are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers on the dry plains of central India, and the pack carries the organic certification.
How is it made?
The roots are harvested by hand, washed, shade-dried and ground to a fine powder in small batches. No additives, fillers or extracts — just the root.
How should I store it?
In a cool, dry, airtight jar, away from light. Kept well it holds its colour and aroma for many months.
What does it taste like?
Earthy, slightly bitter and nutty, with a mild rootiness. Warm milk and a touch of honey or cinnamon soften it, which is why the golden milk blend is so popular.
How do I take it?
The traditional way is a small spoon stirred into warm milk with a little honey, taken in the evening. It also blends well into smoothies, porridge or yoghurt.
